A Masked Palm Civet in Chiang Mai Zoo. Unlike most other civets, the Masked Palm Civet has no spots or stripes on its body.

It has however dark feet, dark ears and dark spots on the face, reminiscent of a mask (fig.) and giving this mammal its name.
