  Safdarjang's Tomb

The maqbara, i.e. ‘place of burial’ or tomb, of Muhammad Muqim in New Delhi.

 

It was built in 1754 as a tribute to the Persian born former governor of Awadh province, who later became known as Safdarjang and whom was prime minister under the Mughal leader Muhammad Shah, who ruled between 1719-1748.
