  Charun Kaewla-iad

Thailand

Ajaan Charun Kaewla-iad is a local resident of Trang's Huai Yot district. After the area where he lives was cleared of its many Selasian Wood Trees in order to plant rubber trees, he gathered the cut down trees and used a total of about 1,400,000 kilogram of the deadwood to create the Dragon Tree Sculpture Garden, known in Thai as Wang Theptaroh Daen Mangkon Hom (fig.), a theme park that features wooden edifices that represent dragons and things related.
