  Common Yeoman

A male Common Yeoman, i.e. a species of butterfly with the scientific name Cirrochroa tyche, spotted in Krabi. It is somewhat similar in appearance to the Common Cruiser (fig.).

 

On the upperside, the wings are tawny orange with a black distal margin, and sinuate marginal and submarginal lines. The hindwing has a series of black post-discal spots.

On the underside, the wings are pale orange with wavy black lines and black spots. Both wings also feature a silvery white transverse discal band.
