  Crown Flower

The Crown Flower, which is also known as Giant Indian Milkweed (fig.), is a shrub with the botanical name Calotropis gigantea.

 

It has yellowish-green stalks and light green, oval-shaped leaves, that are covered with tiny, whitish, down-like hairs, as well as clusters of waxy flowers, with five pointed petals and a small, quadrangular, bell-shaped crown at its center. The flowers can be either white or purple (fig.) in colour.
