Thailand

The Yuttanavi Monument also known as Koh Chang Naval Combat Memorial in Trat province, commemorates the Franco-Thai naval engagement of 17 January 1941 when in these coastal waters a small sea battle took place between the French and Thai Navy, killing 37 Thais.

On its peak stands a statue of the Prince of Chumphon (fig.), the innovator of the Royal Thai Navy.
