The Lim Ko Niau Graveyard Shrine in Pattani is honor of a girl who sailed from China to try and sway her brother to forsake Islam and after a several failed attempts to persuade him she eventually hanged herself.

From grief her brother was unable to finish the Masayid Kreu Se (fig.), the mosque he had started to built to demonstrate his faith, while the cashew nut tree from which Lim Ko Niau hanged herself is now part of her shrine.
