Thailand

The former Nonthaburi City Hall, located on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River, is now home to the Nonthaburi Museum. The old teakwood edifice is built in a U-shape and is still an important icon of the city today (fig.).

The yellow banners depict the royal emblem for the 7th cycle birthday anniversary of King Rama IX, celebrated in the year 2011 (fig.), when the monarch turned 84.

Its spacious courtyard is a welcome parking place for cars and motorbikes in the restricted area of the city centre. The old City Hall's balcony eave brackets (fig.) are represented in local street lights in and around town.
