This building and compound is known as Wang Parutsakawan (fig.) and is named after one of the four paradise gardens of the Hindu god Indra. It is the former royal residence of Prince Chakraphong Phuwanaht (fig.), the 22nd son and 43rd child of King Rama V, located in Bangkok's Dusit district.

Today, parts of the former palace, as well as a new building on its premises (fig.), house the national Police Museum, displaying an exhibition on the evolution of the Royal Thai Police (fig.) from the 13th century onward (fig.).

While the fence enclosing the former palace now has a sign indicating its current function, the wall still has the family logo of the House of Chakraphong embossed on it, namely a chakra, i.e. a disk-like weapon (fig.), and a krabong or bong, i.e. a club (fig.). The compound of these 2 weapons represents and encompasses the family name.
