  Striped Jumper

A male Striped Jumper, spotted in My Son (fig.), in central Vietnam. Above, it has an orangey chestnut body, with white longitudinal stripes on the upper halves of the flanks of the abdomen, in between the top and flanks.

 

On its cephalothorax, i.e. the anterior part of its body, it has a pattern of three white stripes. Six of its legs are near semi-translucent and pale greenish yellow in colour, whereas the two front legs are dark chestnut to black, with some white markings or patches.

It has bright yellow pedipalps, i.e. the appendages above the mouthparts, with dark chestnut tips.
