Tai Shang Lao Jun, the ‘Supreme Old Master’, who is also referred to as simply Lao Jun (fig.), is the deified form of Lao Tzu, the founder of Taoism (fig.). This pictures is from inside the Jade Emperor Hall at Fengdu Ghost City, where this statue is erected adjacent to the celestial throne of Yu Huang (fig.).
