As an

		      amulet,
the bird-shaped charm, known in Thai as

			sarikah lin thong,
often appears in pair, usually in a rather simple shape, e.g. carved from wood
in a rough way, and typically with some

		      yan-signs
and sacred script written on it,
and is hence also referred to as yan sarikah. |
