The Burmese border at Tachilek. The red-blue-white flags on the bridge are the former national flag of Myanmar, used until 10 October 2010; after this date it was changed into its present flag (fig.).

 

The border checkpoint of the Thai Immigration Police in Thailand's Mae Sai district in Chiang Rai, which is also the nation's northernmost point, consists of a large gate-like building.
