  Thousand-mile Eye

China

Chien Li Yen (fig.), known in English as Thousand-mile Eye, is a ferocious warrior-deity from Taoism, who ‒together with his brother Shun Feng Er (fig.), i.e. Wind-accompanying Ear (fig.)‒ is the servant of Tian Hou, after they lost a challenge and fight with her.

In the Jade Emperor Hall at Fengdu Ghost City, he is portrayed in the tou liu bi iconographic style, i.e. with three heads and six arms, and with a different skin tone than usual.
