Yellow Paper Wasp is the common name for a large yellow wasp, that belongs to the subfamily Polistinae and is commonly found in northern India.

In the Indian subcontinent, it is colloquially known as Sindhi Wasp and its venomous sting is purportedly responsible for a number of deaths each year.
