  Zhu Ge Liang

Zhu Ge Liang, one of the most famous and talented statesmen and strategists in Chinese history, who lived between 181 and 234 AD, and in the narrative of the Three Kingdoms (fig.) was recruited by the benevolent warlord Liu Bei (fig.).

 

Here, Zhu Ge Liang is depicted resting at his thatched cottage in Long Zhong (隆中), which also became the name of the strategic plan that Zhu Ge Liang presented to Liu Bei.
