Cambodia

Skuon's roadside market in Cambodia's Kompong Cham Province has fried beung, for sale, an endemic species of tarantula (fig.), also commonly known as Thai Black Tarantula, which in some parts of Southeast Asia is considered a delicacy.

 

These large spiders (fig.) are usually eaten with fried garlic and after they have been soaked in rice whiskey for several days.
