The Christmas Beetle is known as duang krismas in Thai. Christmas  beetles have a glossy, often metallic elytra (protective wing caps), pronotum (the dorsal front part of the thorax) and clypeus (the hardened body part that makes up the face), and clawed legs covered in multiple barbs.
