Thailand

Khanom piak poon is a kind of jelly pudding, also referred to as glutinous rice cakes, topped with some grated coconut. It is made from rice flour mixed with arrowroot or tapioca starch, lime juice, palm sugar and concentrated pandan juice. There are two kinds, i.e. a green variety and a black type which is the basically same but made black with toasted coconut husks.
