  kwian

Thailand

A wooden, two-wheeled cart, known in Thai as kwian. These type of carts are traditionally drawn by water buffaloes or oxen (fig.), and used to transport paddy to the market.

As such, those cart loads stands at the origin of a unit of capacity for measuring paddy or rice, officially called kwian luang and equivalent to 2,000 liters.
