Common Swamp Pitcher Plants, also known as Monkey Cups, are tropical carnivorous plants of the genus Nepenthes, of which there exist many species, as well as several hybrids and cultivars.

The name monkey cups refers to the fact that monkeys have been observed drinking rainwater from these plants, which are mostly found within the Malay-Indonesian Archipelago, with the greatest biodiversity found on Borneo and Sumatra.
