Pyit taing
daung are knock-about egg-shaped dolls in
Myanmar with a serene smiling face, which are made of papier-mâché and weighed
down with some clay stuck inside the base, in order that they can be rolled
about, yet always end up standing upright again, regardless of how hard they
have been pushed or thrown, nor in
which direction.
