  sahn phra phum

Thailand

The sahn phra phum is the larger one of two spirit houses, that are usually erected next to each other, in pairs. It typically has just one leg and often houses a jawed, whereas the other one, called sahn chao thih, is smaller and has four legs. In front of the spirit houses usually tables for the offerings are put up.
