With a height of 262.5 meters, the Bitexco Financial Tower was the tallest building in Saigon at its completion on 31 October 2010, a record it kept for only a very short time, i.e. until January 2011, when it was surpassed by the 350 meter tall AON Hanoi Landmark Tower, which itself lost its record in 2018 to the 461.15 meter high Landmark 81 skyscraper.
