  Saen Saeb Walkway-Biking Path

Thailand

The eastern section of Khlong Saen Saeb (fig.) a large canal in Bangkok (fig.), is in most areas lined on both sides with concrete walkways that double as biking paths.

Past the terminus of the public canal boats near Wat Sri Boon Reuang (fig.), these walkways become quite peaceful (fig.) and the residents of local communities along the canal come here to hang out and catch fish, many are also seen jogging or riding bikes. Since the canal runs parallel to the busy Rakhamhaeng Road, these canal-side bikeways are a safer and more relaxing alternative.
