Soil Scientist award. Since 2012, World Soil Day is observed
on 5 December, coinciding with the King's birthday, who was
honoured as the first recipient of the award for his
dedication to soil resource management, and which was
presented to His Majesty by the Chairman of the
International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) on 16 April
2012. One side of the medal features the
logo of the IUSS and its name both in short and in full,
while the reverse side has
