						A

						Lemon Pansy.
						It is
						brown with dark and

						lemon-yellow
spots and lines on the upperside of the wings, as well
as a number of orange-black, eyespots, that resemble
those of an owl and serve to deceive potential
predators. This one is in the  dry season form,
when its markings are more obscure and paler, especially
on the underside, and the wing margin is more angular
and jagged against its wet-season form.
