Mangkonkan (fig.) is one of the 12 giants, set up in 6 pairs, that guard the entrances in the enclosure of the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, i.e. Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok, where he is erected in pair with Wirunhok (fig.).

 

He is very similar to Wirunhok, but has a green complexion, rather than blue, and both wear a chadah-style crown (fig.), which is topped with the figure of a naga.
