  Nahrot Chadok

Thailand

This mural at Wat Neramit Wipatsanah (fig.) in Loei depicts the scene from the Nahrot Chadok in which the bodhisattva was born as Nahrot, a form of Brahma, who reveals himself to King Angati and his daughter Ruja, disguised as an ascetic, while carrying a golden pole with two begging bowls on his shoulders, in order to drive away the false doctrine.
