  Reua Phra Thihnang Narai Song Suban

The Reua Phra Thihnang Narai Song Suban, the newest and one of the most impressive of the Royal Barges, being towed to its starting point near the Krung Thon Bridge (fig.) over the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, for the final rehearsal for the Royal Barge Procession in support of the Royal Kathin Ceremony at Wat Arun (fig.) on 9 November 2012. The outside hull is painted red and the prow has a figurehead of Vishnu (fig.), who is also known as Rama and Narai, standing on a red-coloured Garuda (fig.).
