  Reua Phra Thihnang Suphanahong

The Reua Phra Thihnang Suphanahong or Golden Swan Royal Barge, the King's personal barge and one of the most prominent of Royal Barges, being towed to its starting point near the Krung Thon Bridge (fig.) over the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, for the final rehearsal for the Royal Barge Procession in support of the Royal Kathin Ceremony at Wat Arun (fig.) on 9 November 2012. The outside hull is painted black and both the bow, which is in the form of a swan (fig.), and stern are elaborately decorated with gold lacquer.
