 depicts the 
		      
		      
		      Buddha 
holding a  
sa-moh (fig.), i.e. the fruit of the gall-nut 
tree, between his thumb and middle finger. The fruit is said to represent the
		      
		      
		      
              
		      dhamma, which the Buddha offers 
 as a cure for suffering
